We are thrilled to extend our heartfelt congratulations to you on receiving the prestigious Best Researcher Award! ๐Ÿ† Your dedication, expertise, and outstanding contributions in the field of marine geology and geophysics have truly set you apart.๐ŸŒŸ As you continue to explore the depths of our oceans and contribute to cutting-edge research, may this award serve as a testament to your remarkable accomplishments and inspire future generations in the field.

Maria Filomena Loreto, a marine geologist specializing in geophysical approaches, embarked on her career at ISMAR-CNR Bologna. She earned her Ph.D. in collaboration with the University of Parma and ISMAR-CNR, followed by a post-doc at OGS. Since 2012, she holds a permanent position as a researcher at ISMAR-CNR.

Her research spans back-arc basins, crustal thinning, seafloor spreading, and subduction-related deformation. She’s also involved in active tectonics, sea-level changes, and Quaternary fault slip rates. With expertise in seismic data processing, interpretation, and geological modeling, Maria has contributed to 43 publications, 31 technician reports, and over 115 conference abstracts.
