PhD | The University of Università Degli Studi Della Tuscia | Italy

Dr. Mariarita Tarantino Amirhossein Moghanian, Sirus Safaee, Ahmet Akif Kizilkurtlu, Mohammad Mehrdar, Ramin Farmani, Soroush Mehrani, Ali Akpek, and Mahdis Nesabi analyzes the application of powder metallurgy in dental biomaterials. It discusses processing routes, consolidation techniques, and post-processing strategies that enable controlled porosity, optimized microstructures, and improved mechanical and biological performance. Metallic, ceramic, and composite dental materials fabricated through conventional and advanced PM methods are evaluated in terms of strength, osseointegration, corrosion resistance, and clinical relevance. The review also addresses current limitations, scalability challenges, and future directions for PM-based dental biomaterial fabrication.
