Assoc. Prof. Dr. Beril Anılanmert is a distinguished academic and researcher in forensic sciences with expertise in analytical chemistry, toxicology, and forensic pharmacology. She currently serves at İstanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, Institute of Forensic Sciences, where she has established herself as a leading scholar, educator, and mentor. Her academic journey began with a background in pharmacy at Marmara University, followed by advanced doctoral research in analytical chemistry and forensic toxicology, which provided her with dual specialization and interdisciplinary expertise. She has gained diverse experience through roles at Marmara University, the Council of Forensic Medicine, and Erciyes University before her current appointment, combining academic leadership with hands-on forensic practice. Her research focuses on drug-facilitated crimes, toxicological screening, pharmacovigilance, and advanced chromatographic and mass spectrometry-based techniques for detecting psychoactive substances, pharmaceuticals, and explosives in biological and environmental samples. She has contributed to innovative projects, including studies on synthetic drugs, psychoactive plants, and forensic pharmacology of vaccines, and has published extensively in high-impact journals while authoring influential book chapters, with 199 citations by 182 documents across 24 publications and an h-index of 8. She actively supervises students, leads funded projects, and ensures rigorous scientific standards through her work on laboratory accreditation and method validation. Her achievements have been recognized with numerous national and international awards for research excellence, peer reviewing, and global scientific contributions. Dedicated to bridging pharmaceutical sciences with forensic applications, she continues to advance the field through impactful research, international collaborations, and the mentorship of future forensic scientists.
