🔍 Research Focus:
Riya’s research centers on computational harmonic analysis, specifically mathematical sampling theory, Fourier analysis, and time-frequency analysis. Her work addresses complex problems in sampling with derivatives, Gabor frames, and interpolation of periodic non-uniform samples. Through her contributions, she aims to enhance the understanding and application of these mathematical concepts in various fields.
🏆 Honors & Awards:
Riya has received numerous honors throughout her academic journey. She was awarded the Inspire Fellowship by the Government of India from 2014 to 2017, along with the Merit Cum Means Scholarship during her M.Sc. program. Riya has also excelled in academic competitions, notably earning the JAM (Joint Admission Test for Mathematics) qualification in 2017 and 2018. In 2024, she was recognized for her research efforts with the Best Paper Presentation award at the International Conference on Functional Analysis and Fractals and the Best Poster Presentation at the Strobl24 Conference in Austria.
💼 Professional Experience:
Riya has gained valuable teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad since January 2021, where she supports students in their mathematical studies. Additionally, she participated in the Summer Workshop in Applied Mathematics at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) in Bangalore in 2021. Earlier, Riya served as an Assistant Teacher at a West Bengal government school, where she contributed to early education from February 2017 to July 2018.
