Dr Stephen Ajuaba : Leading Researcher in Energy
Montanuniversitaet Leoben , Austria
Congratulations, Dr Stephen Ajuaba , on winning the esteemed Best Researcher Award from Award and Honor! Your dedication, innovative research, and scholarly contributions have truly made a significant impact in your field. Your commitment to advancing knowledge and pushing the boundaries of research is commendable. Here’s to your continued success in shaping the future of academia and making invaluable contributions to your field. Well done!
Dr Stephen Ajuaba Ph.D. applicant (research associate) with over 3 years of professional experience in applied geoscience within academia. My journey began with a master’s research project in sedimentary geology, where I honed skills in stratigraphy and sedimentology—both in the field and laboratory. From measuring stratigraphic sections to interpreting sedimentary facies, my expertise extends to sampling, mapping, and preparing samples for various geochemical and petrographic analyses.
After completing my master’s, I embarked on a paid traineeship/research assistant program in applied organic geochemistry. This involved bulk geochemistry of source rocks, biomarkers, compound-specific isotopes of source rocks, oils, and gas, as well as organic petrography of organic-rich shales and coals. The aim was to characterize and correlate oils and their source rocks, contribute to understanding paleoenvironments and paleoclimates, and describe sedimentary/petroleum systems.
My internship success led to a Ph.D. position, focusing on these topics in detail through various case studies within central Europe. Additionally, I lead the bulk geochemical and isotope laboratories in our chair, where I play a teaching role in laboratory-related courses.
My current research findings have been published in internationally reputable journals (two articles, with the third in progress). In summary, I’ve contributed my knowledge in five published articles available on my LinkedIn and ResearchGate profiles.
